SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition released the following statement in the wake of the recent shootings in Atlanta, GA:
“The Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition mourns the victims who were murdered in Atlanta and strongly condemns the swell of hatred that fueled this horrifying attack. We must not become numb or forget that racist words beget fear and violent acts. We stand in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and encourage others to join us in our fight against injustice and discrimination.”
